How MasterQuiz AI handles your data

In short:  When you upload a PDF, MasterQuiz AI temporarily stores it on your WordPress server and extracts its text. The PDF is deleted after successful generation. If processing fails, temporary files are automatically removed after approximately one hour. Extracted text is also stored temporarily for up to one hour and is deleted sooner after processing.

1. What happens to your PDF

When you upload a PDF, MasterQuiz AI temporarily stores it on your WordPress server and extracts its text. The PDF is deleted after successful generation. If processing fails, temporary files are automatically removed after approximately one hour. Extracted text is also stored temporarily for up to one hour and is deleted sooner after processing.

2. What we send to AI, and what we don't

MasterQuiz AI sends the information needed to generate your quiz to the configured AI provider, which may include: Relevant PDF text Quiz title Number of questions Question types Generation instructions In Fast mode, relevant PDF content is selected locally before being sent. Quality mode may use the optional RAG service. Your WordPress name, email, and user ID are not included in AI requests. However, personal or sensitive information contained in your PDF may be sent as part of the extracted text.

3. Which AI services we use

Quiz generation is performed by one of the following external providers, tried in order:

The optional RAG service is disabled by default.

When enabled for Quality mode, extracted PDF text is sent to the RAG service configured by the site administrator to select relevant content.
